Skill-Building 101 - Centering

We all know that learning to center can be one of the hardest parts of throwing, second only to keeping clay centered. Join Jenson in this throwing intensive where we will review centering, learn different approaches to see what works best for you, and get into the tips and tricks for successful centering and re-centering.

Once we get our hands messy and feel centered in our abilities, we’ll practice throwing a cylinder. If you’re having difficulty keeping the walls going up instead of out, regularly make bowls when trying to make a vase, get twists when raising the walls, or have trouble getting even walls - come on in!

Class will include 5 pounds of clay and firing for 1 vessel.
