WHO

Marin Pottery came to be out of a pure passion for ceramics, community, and clay! Kebby McInroy has been working with clay since high school, but it wasn’t until attending a community college course she became aware of all that clay could contribute to mental health, connection, and creating. Receiving amazing instruction from a professional production potter and being inspired, Kebby started up her own home pottery studio. After dabbling for years she started teaching when her own children were in the Mill Valley School District, children and adults. Her classes grew and so did her business serving many of Marin County’s public schools, private schools, and community centers over the last 2 decades, she and her team have taught thousands from littles to adults about clay!

WHERE

Located in downtown Novato our studio has easy access to parking, restaurants, and some of the best coffee! Marin Pottery hosts 8 electric pottery wheels, two electric kilns, a clay extruder, slab roller, membership cupboards to keep your items safe, a glaze area, underglazes, and clay tools. Our studio is perfect for beginning students and intermediate, we are not set up for any production work.

HOW

Adults are busy and need a place to step away and refocus, there is nothing like clay to reground and reconnect. While we are juggling a job, family time, and life this space is designed for your schedule. Kebby’s dream was to have a studio that welcomed you whenever you were available morning, noon, or night so with each class, you are able to come in on your own time to practice, or join our affordable membership program.

Marin Pottery hosts classes for kids, teens, and adults, pottery parties for celebrations and team building, clay kits for at-home creating, workshops to focus on a new technique or project, and have 1-2 market days where our members and students have the opportunity to share and sell their work. We are a space that shares the love of ceramics and community.
