Join us in this hands on workshop to create beautiful nerikomi vessels. Nerikomi is a technique in using different color clays to create a design in the clay, instead of the glaze or underglaze.

We’ll be exploring our 4 different clay bodies and creating organic, layered, functional pieces of art. Participants are welcome to design their own vase shapes or use provided templates.

This relaxing community class will include a lunch break while we let pieces reach a leather hard state before finishing assembly. Feel free to pack a lunch or enjoy one of the many options downtown Novato has to offer (all within walking distance of the studio).

Regular price is $120
This price represents the full cost of the class. If you are employed, own property, have regular access to healthcare or spend little time worried about paying for basic necessities, you have economic privilege and power in our community. This price is for you.

This price is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and attending this workshop would be a significant hardship. If you qualify for government assistance for housing, food or healthcare, you live paycheck to paycheck, you have limited access to a vehicle/transportation, if you are unemployed or if you have debt that prohibits you from meeting your basic needs, this price is for you.
