Marin Pottery is a community ceramics studio located in Novato, California, serving Marin County and the Bay Area. We offer pottery classes, hands-on workshops, drop-in time, and open studio access for beginners through experienced ceramic artists.

Classes
Our pottery classes are taught by people who are passionate about clay! We create an inviting and inclusive environment, comfortable for folks to explore - even if you’ve never worked with clay before.
We offer adult and kid classes in wheel-throwing, hand-building, and intro classes for a bit of everything.

Workshops
Workshops are a great way to hone a skill, try something new, and just have fun! Our monthly workshops let you come in and give ceramics a try with a guided format. Some workshops are themed for certain times of the year, some develop a particular skill, and others are specific to community.
Each month, we have multiple workshops to get creative!

Drop-In Pottery
We have drop in options for potters of all levels. Feel free to come in and try your hand at the wheel, sculpt a creature, make a pinch pot mug, and more! One of our talented staff members is present to help introduce you to ceramics - even if you’ve never tried it before.
Drop in hours are Thursday 5:30pm-8:30pm and Saturday 10am-1pm.

Membership
We offer 3 tiers of membership to meet your needs. Members are folks who have taken a class with us or a sufficient alternative with approval. We have limited spots available for each tier.
Bronze - $90: Come in during all member open times, get access to wheels, slab roller, glazes, shared tools, and firing.
Silver - $130: Everything bronze offers and a storage shelf.
Gold - $170: Everything bronze offers, a storage cubby, and one free workshop each month.
